The MAX1232CPA is designed as one kind of microprocessor (uP) supervisory circuit device that provides uP "housekeeping" and power-supply supervision function while consuming only 1/10th the power of the DS1232. And this device can be used in computers, controllers, intrlligent instruments, automotive systems and critical uP power monitoring applications.
